Day Trip - Cape May

Cape May
About an hour south of Atlantic City along the coast is Cape May. In this quaint seaside town you'll find an abundance of activity.

Pay a visit to the Cape May Lighthouse. This remarkable nautical site is one of America's oldest operating lighthouses. Since 1895, it has been guiding vessels safely away from shore. If you gander out real far, you can see portions of Delaware Bay and deep into the Atlantic Ocean.

Looking for family activities? The kiddies will enjoy the Cape May County Park and Zoo. Over 85 acres of roaming wildlife, a magnificent park for picnics and premier pond fishing make for an excellent family outing.

Fascinated by nature? The Leaming's Run Gardens offer a great stroll through flower fields, alongside plenty of affable farm animals. Also excellent for perusing local fauna and flora is the Nature Center of Cape May.

Architecture buff? The Historic Cold Spring Village dates back to the early 1700's and features some dazzling vintage buildings.

Fancy the beach? Sunset Beach offers a beautiful scene of quartz covered sands, along with nifty gift shops and a few choice restaurants to pop in for some grub.
